Arctic Bedding is a concept first developed by Norwegian, Sjur Mørdre, for a South Pole expedition. Working with Sjur, Piteraq Hardware has develop this concept further to reduce vital weight, improve functionality and maintain durability.
Developed from the standard Arctic Bedding, the HD version is wider and deeper allowing for larger mattresses to fit inside, it is made from a 210D Nylon for increased durability and it comes with three external zip accessed pockets and one large Velcro accessed pocket giving additional storage options, perfect for items needed during short breaks or on the move.
The purpose of the Arctic Bedding HD is to contain the essential items for sleeping and cooking in one simple to use fast access bag while pulling a sled. Operating in extremely cold environments requires you to be efficient in the setting up and taking down of camp. Everything is kept together in an organised manner with the ability to take the whole bag directly from the sled to the tent and be set up in a matter of seconds.

The cover is shaped as a mattress with a longitudinal zipper on three sides. The cover fits one or more inflated mattresses up to 67cm wide. Above this there is room for the sleeping bag, a bag with extra clothes and cooking utensils. With your tent set up, the Arctic Bedding HD is simply pulled inside. Open the zipper fully and the lid can be rolled away, leaving the mattresses, sleeping bag and other items available for immediate use. During travel, the Arctic Bedding HD is tied to the top of the sled with bungee straps (not included).
We do not recommend lifting or dragging heavy loads with this bag. It has been designed as part of a gear storage system operating between a sled and the floor of a tent
